Hot-dip Galvanized Carbon Steel Tubes Technical Requirements

Tubes NBR 5590
They are manufactured and supplied with or without seams, made for the conduction of non-corrosive liquids. They are used in machining and mechanical equipment, but can be used in the conduction of steam, water, gas and compressed air.

The Brazilian Standard – NBR 5590 for steel tubes, was published by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards, ABNT, with the aim of regulating the production and supply of Schedule Tubes. These tubes are manufactured in carbon steel, with longitudinal welding, black or galvanized, with the objective of conducting non-corrosive fluids under pressure, temperature and specific mechanical applications, although they are also used for common applications of conducting vapors, gases, water and compressed air. These steel tubes obtain mandatory certification after carrying out safety and efficiency laboratory tests. With specific dimensions, this type of tube is used in mechanical and machining applications. Similar standard: ASTM A53.
