US Anti-dumping Policy on Circular And Rectangular Welded Carbon Steel Pipes From China

On June 26, 2020, the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States voted to make a second affirmative final anti-dumping sunset review of industrial injury for light walled rectangular pipes and tubes imported from China, South Korea, Mexico and Türkiye, and a second affirmative final anti-dumping sunset review of industrial injury for thin walled rectangular pipes imported from China.

On September 9, 2024, the US Department of Commerce issued a statement stating that it had made a final positive ruling on the third countervailing sunset review of Circular Welded Carbon Quality Steel Pipe imported from China. The ruling stated that if the countervailing duty in this case is cancelled, it will result in subsidies for Chinese products involved in the case continuing or recurring at a rate of 29.83% -620.08%.
