Grooved pipe fittings include two major product categories:
Fittings that serve as connecting seals include rigid couplings, flexible couplings, mechanical tees, and grooved flanges.
Fittings that serve as transition connections include elbows, tees, crosses, reducers, blind flanges, and others.
The grooved fittings that serve as connecting seals mainly consist of three components: a sealing rubber gasket, a coupling housing, and a locking bolt. The rubber gasket, located inside, is placed on the outside of the pipe to be connected and aligns with the pre-grooved pipe. The coupling housing is then secured around the outer part of the rubber gasket, and finally fastened with two bolts. Due to the unique design of the rubber gasket and coupling, grooved fittings have excellent sealing properties. As the fluid pressure within the pipe increases, the sealing capability of the grooved connection is correspondingly enhanced.
Grooved pipe connection, as an advanced pipeline connection method, can be used in both exposed and concealed applications, and includes both rigid and flexible joints. Therefore, it has a wide range of applications:
According to system classification: It can be used in fire water systems, air conditioning hot and cold water systems, water supply systems, petrochemical pipeline systems, thermal power and military pipeline systems, sewage treatment pipeline systems, etc.
According to pipe material classification: It can be used to connect steel pipes, copper pipes, stainless steel pipes, plastic-lined steel pipes, ductile iron pipes, thick-walled plastic pipes, as well as hoses and valve fittings with steel pipe joints and flange joints.
