Groove fittings are steel pipe connection fittings, also known as clamp connections, with many advantages.

The design specification for automatic fire sprinkler systems states that the system piping should be connected using grooved couplings, threaded connections, or flange connections. For pipes with a diameter equal to or greater than 100mm, flange or grooved couplings should be used for segmented connections.

Grooved coupling technology, also known as mechanical coupling technology, has become the preferred method for connecting liquid and gas pipelines, gradually replacing the traditional methods of flange and welding connections.

The application of grooved coupling technology simplifies and expedites the complex process of pipeline connections, representing a significant advancement in pipeline connection technology.
