Tuborum iuncturae sulcataeduas praecipuas categorias productorum comprehendunt:
Inter aptationes quae ut sigilla connectiva funguntur sunt copulae rigidae, copulae flexibiles, copulae T mechanicae, et flanges sulcatae.
Inter nexus transitionis numerantur cubita, funiculos T, cruces, reductores, flanges caecae, et alia.
Nexus sulcati, qui ut obturamenta connectiva funguntur, tribus praecipue partibus constant: obturamento gummi obturante, involucro copulae, et clavo obturante. Obturamentum gummi, intus situm, extra tubi connectendi ponitur et cum tubo prae-sulcato congruit. Involucrum copulae deinde circa partem externam obturamenti gummi firmatur, et denique duobus clavis figitur. Propter designum singulare obturamenti gummi et copulae, nexus sulcati proprietates obturandi excellentes habent. Cum pressio fluidi intra tubum crescit, facultas obturandi nexus sulcati correspondenter augetur.
Nexus tuborum sulcatus, ut methodus connexionis fistularum provectus, et in applicationibus apertis et occultis adhiberi potest, et et commissuras rigidas et flexibiles includit. Propterea, latam applicationum varietatem habet:
Secundum classificationem systematis: Adhibi potest in systematibus aquae ignis exstinctoriae, systematibus aquae calidae et frigidae aeris conditionati, systematibus aquae suppeditandae, systematibus fistularum petrochemicarum, systematibus fistularum energiae thermicae et militaris, systematibus fistularum curationis cloacarum, et cetera.
Secundum classificationem materiae tuborum: Ad coniungendas fistulas ferreas, fistulas cupreas, fistulas chalybis inoxidabilis, fistulas chalybis plastica obductas, fistulas ferreas ductiles, fistulas plasticas crassis parietibus, necnon fistulas et aptationes valvularum cum iuncturis fistularum ferrearum et iuncturis flangarum adhiberi potest.
